In job requisition what is the difference between Application and Propects?

Hi Team,

I have created a job requisition as job for a Manager position in the test carrier site. I posted the job and applied as an internal candidate under test carrier site. I also applied for the same position through candidate search.

 

I have a question: what is the difference between an application and a prospect?
