Content Indexing not working - Knowledge Management with Redwood Interface

Summary:

Content Indexing gets stuck on Pending and after 24hrs fails (Navigator > Knowledge > Content Indexing or Setup and Maintenance > Help Desk: Knowledge Management > Manage Knowledge Authoring Search). As a result, no newly published articles are showing up on Redwood Knowledge.

In Redwood Knowledge, content indexing is automatic and typically requires no intervention. You can request content indexing for one or more content types to resolve a search index problem. The new articles weren't showing up, so we tried running Content Indexing which also did not work.

Knowledge Management with Redwood Interface was setup according to Oracle documentation and the necessary User Roles were tweaked so Authors have access to the New Redwood Authoring. Users have access to MyKnowledge (Redwood).

Howdy, Stranger!
