Is there a way to use Project/Task on the sales order for GOP

Summary:

Hello, we are in a Project mfg environment and using attribute-based planning to net supplies and demand using project /Tasks and planning groups. When a customer places an order, we want GOP to follow the same attribute-based rule and only use supplies that are in the same project/planning group. I was going thru this note/feature which looks like suggesting to use OM EFF as allocation criteria. Has anyone used this feature? We want to use this for GOP and also to consume forecasts.
