Is it possible to track whether a direct email to a candidate is opened or unopened?

Summary:

Hi,

Much like with how a campaign is able to track audience engagement - I am wondering if anyone has had success tracking engagement with direct emails to candidates outside of campaigns? Whether it be a result of an automated email from the CSP, or an ad-hoc email manually generated by a hiring team member - it would be helpful to be able to determine if an email is opened versus unopened, etc.
