Is there a way to retain the candidate profile details such as home address AFTER they get hired?

Summary:

Once a candidate from ORC is moved to HR and completes processing, their Candidate Type is updated to Employee and certain pieces of information in their candidate profile is updated to reflect their job information. For example, their home address is updated to reflect their work address. Is there a way to prevent some of these fields from being updated?
