Calculate Accruals and Balances process effective date

Our annual leave allocation for staff is front-loaded and our leave year runs from 1st September to 31st August every year. This means that on 1st September, staff would expect to see their total leave allocation for the new leave year.
This year, the annual leave balances did not update with the allocation for the new leave year on 1st September. When admins viewed the annual leave balances for staff, the Last Calculation Date was still set to 31.08.2024, rather than the correct date of 31.08.2025. The leave balance as it was on 31.08.2024 was still displayed.
There are two parent Calculate Accruals and Balances processes that run on our system - one for each legislative group that covers all plans in each group - these have ran since the system was implemented. When I checked the child processes for each legislative group on 1st September, there was a parameter that showed a date which appeared to be approximately one week earlier.
