Disable an entity in Oracle

Summary:

We have multiple entities i.e. Ledger and assigned Legal Entity and Business Unit.

Are there any best practices for this for disabling an entity?

I know that we should have zero balances in the Trial Balance.

As well as end-date the Chart of Account entity segment and stop opening new GL and Subledger Periods.

Any other pointers here?
