Does a visitor profile for a contact expires?

edited Oct 11, 2024 2:13AM in Eloqua 2 comments

Hi,

We'd like to use the "has visitor profile" criteria in segments to filter contacts whose new online activities are trackable by Eloqua with their cookies.
According to the doc Web Tracking: How Long Does an Eloqua Cookie Last and What Happens When the Cookie Expires? (Doc ID 1984962.1), cookies are set to be tracked for up to 13 months or until the visitor clears their cookies.

Based on this, I understand that if a contact hasn't make any new online activities in the last 13 months, the contact's cookie expires and thereafter will not be counted by the "has visitor profile" criteria, (meaning that the number of contacts filtered by the criteria can drop down as times passes).

Howdy, Stranger!
