Scheduling Method in Work Order

We can see the Scheduling method as 'Default Scheduling' when a Work Order is created (UI or released from Planning)

When we update the Work Order in Production Scheduling in Planning, the scheduling method is getting updated to 'User or external scheduling' .

Is there any reason for this behaviour

Please let us know the difference between User scheduling and Default scheduling
