2024 RSSP Updates for Feature Categories and if they are linked to Req BU in Preferences?

Summary:

I’m trying to figure out how to configure Feature Categories that mimics how the Content Zone works in old Self Service Procurement, particularly, if you enter in a default BU in your preferences, can this change based on that.  There has been some discussion in this Customer Connect Post How to configure BU-specific featured categories for Responsive App — Cloud Customer Connect

I'm not sure what the resolution from that post was and cannot find adequate documentation to get this set up. Can someone point me in the right direction? Or, is this functionality either not ready or nonexistent?
