Autocomplete completing the Grade Ladder ID field with Page Composer

Summary:

We have developed an Autocomplete feature that populates the Grade Ladder ID field using combinations of values from a Value Set. The final flexfield returns the Grade Ladder ID number, and we use Page Compose to trigger the completion of this field. We couldn't set this in the rule due to the client's business guidelines and other reasons.

Question:

Since we are using Page Compose to fill the Grade Ladder ID field, is there a way to "refresh" the page after this field is populated? We need the Grade Ladder to be set to determine the Grade Step level on the screen and the Grade itself. However, the system does not recognize that the field has been populated and still shows it as empty/previus Grade Ladder values for the Grade Level and Grade fields.
