Import contacts into Eloqua from SFTP and create shared list

We want to import contacts from an SFTP server daily and add the members to a shared list.

I know I can have separate imports which use paths on the SFTP which can be used to create separate audiences.

Questions:

  1. Are shared lists automatically created for data contact imports with import name as the a shared list?
  2. Are the shared lists emptied before adding the members daily?
