Knowledge article visible in 'Browse Popular Articles' user should not have access

Summary:

I have created a knowledge article and linked it to a secure User Group for internal use by Agents. The Agents can view the article. If an employee searches in knowledge they cannot find the article, however it is appearing in the 'Browse Popular Articles' region of My Help, when the employee clicks on the article it gives an error 'You don't have permission to view this page'.

Why is the article appearing, and how do we exclude internal Agent documents from popular articles.
