Expense Reports are not routed to Expense Auditor

I have assigned my Test User the role of Expense Auditor and enabled for use within the BU of the employee submitting the Expense Reports.

My Test User is set up as an Employee.

Several Expense Reports have been selected for audit with status = 'Pending approval by Expense Auditor'.

When I log into my user account assigned Expense Auditor, no Expense Reports are visible.

Why is this?
