How to default "Active" field to No when Date of Death is entered in Family and Emergency Contacts

In Family and Emergency page, when Date of Death is entered, is it possible to default the 'Active' field to no?
Also, is it possible to add active/inactive flag on Family and Emergency Contacts page?
