The purchase requisition does not load the item to be purchased

Summary:

We are generating purchase requesitions from maintenance orders so that the cost of the purchased item is charged to the same order, but when the item code is entered the system does not validate it and remains "thinking."
If we make the requesition charged to the inventory, the system validates the item and the requesition can continue to be generated
What could be the cause of this?
