Link Grade rate to Base Salary instead of Overall Salary

Summary:

We have a customer that determines their grades (min and max values) for Base salary and not for the Overall salary.

But if we link the grade rate in Salary Ranges it works for Overall Salary:


For example, in this case, only 2200 of Base salary should be considered within grades min and max values and show that it is outside of the Range Info:

Could you advice please if with this new functionality of "Salary amount determined by Rates" it would be possible to link grade rates to Base Salary instead of Overall Salary? And if yes, how we can do it?
