OSMH: Patch Job Failed With Error “signal: segmentation fault (core dumped) "

Goal:

An OSMH patch Job failed with error “signal: segmentation fault (core dumped) "

Performing the update usingyum/dnf command fails with the same error “signal: segmentation fault (core dumped)"

Cause:

The issue was due to DNF hitting a segfault. Which possibly caused the rpm database corruption.

$ cat /var/log/messages
