Asset meter readings reset

Summary:

• Asset is assigned a Continuous Absolute Ascending meter, the asset's physical meter gets replaced due to error. So the meter reading value is reset to zero. So in this case, how Fusion meter template can handle this change?
  Example:
  Last Meter reading- 21,000
  Next Meter reading - 10 (instead of 21010)

If a reset meter reading is been entered, how will this affect the Preventive Maintenance.
