Regarding the 'Description' field in the Create Subledger Journal Entry of GL

Why is the "Description" field in the header section of the General Accounting> Journals > Subledger Accounting> Create Subledger Journal Entry>Description?　I would like to know if there is any significance to it due to the system structure.
