Mapping Set vs Source in RMCS SLA - Which option is preferred from a performance perspective?

Summary:

We are using out of the box integration from Oracle Subscription management to Oracle Revenue Management. We have a requirement to derive few accounting segments on Contract accounting based on the extensible attributes values flowing from OSM to RMCS. We are considering below two options to design our SLA configurations:

Option -1

OSM directly send the segment values in extensible attributes to RMCS. We write account rules in RMCS to pull the COA segments directly from extensible attributes.

Option -2

OSM sends the segment description (example - location name instead of location segment value). We create mapping sets in RMCS to maintain mapping of segment description and segment value. Then we attach the mapping sets to account rules in RMCS which in turn will derive the accounting segments
