Territory update of dimension doesnt reflect in Opportunity

Summary:

Hi,

We had setup teritories based on Country which was working fine. Now we had to update the territories based on a Custom field onto Opportunity Object which is an LOV field.

We have created a custom dimension and used the custom field in that dimension and then assigned that dimension to the existing territory.

But when I am creating a new Opportunity, territory doesnt get assigned as per the Custom dimension.

Can someone thrown light on the same please?
