Summary:

Server UTC time zone causes the transaction not to post in current period.

Issue Description:

Business noticed that: all the transactions (Material, GL, AP, AR, etc) is not posted to current period rather it is posted to next period due to server time zone is setup as UTC+00:00 whereas our legal entity is located in EST time zone.

Questions:

  1. How to post the transaction in the current period (Nov-24) instead of posting to next month period (Dec-24)

Ex: Nov-30-2024 23:00:00 EST transactions are posted to Dec-01-2024 due to UTC server time zone.

What is the impact of changing the Legal Entity level the time zone from UTC to EST time, since we were doing the transaction as per UTC time zone till now; if we change it where it will impact.
