Can the NIR Definition phase be skipped based on any condition

Summary:

We have Configured NIR set up for an item class, But is there any option for this to be Triggered based on the Life cycle phase on the Item or any other condition

Say NIR is enabled on Item class A

But this NIR should be triggered only if the Lifecyle phase is Production for Item class A

If this is Preproduction and Item class A the NIR should not be triggered or the NIR definition phase should be skipped
