Discrepancy in Analytics and Segment Data

Hi Team,

We are getting discrepancy in the data in analytics report and segment.

we are extracting total count of contacts in Eloqua at present:

  1. when trying to fetch through an analytics report - total count 26Lakhs approx
  2. while fetching the data by creating a segment - Total count - 16.5Lakhs approx

Please let us know why there is a gap of 10Lakh contacts in both of these reports, and which one is portraying the correct data.
