Reporting the Alias of an Attribute Member (possibly using MemberProperty?)

Summary: Hi. We are developing a report that uses the MemberProperty function to display the attribute of a particular base dimension member. The report has the base dimension (ClientMatter) in the row of the report and a text column with the MemberProperty function in it. This works well and displays the attribute member of each ClientMatter as text.

MemberProperty("Client Matter",1, "R_Emp")

However, the requirement is to display the alias of the attribute member, not the membername itself.
The regular member/alias functions within Reports don't work. I believe this is because the value of the attribute is text and not a dimension member.
