Reports Relative Member of CurrentPOV -1 does not render Dec prior year if Jan is selected in POV

We have a Balance Sheet Report with the Period Dimension leveraging CurrentPOV in one column and Relative Member of CurrentPOV -1 in another column and then a variance column showing a period change. When we have our POV set to Jan '25, the Reports renders Dec'25 and not Dec'24. How do we leverage this function to pull Dec'24?
