Duplicate Contact Points

Summary:

Created a Contact against an Account in Sales Cloud, The Contact is reflected under the Party>Communications tab in Receivables (Manage Customers), Against the same Party > Accounts > Communications tab> Added the same contact. As the contact points don't reflect against the added contact, I Created the contact points referring to the Contact data in the sales cloud. But, when I view the contains points in Sales Contact, I see 2 rows with the same data in My emails and My Phones which is expected as the application doesn't allow to add instead allows only to create new.
I assume this is a bug. Ideally, the same contact points have to be associated which avoids resulting in duplicate data.
