Approval routing to same 1st approver if 2nd approver is not available

Hello,

There is a requirement that if any approval goes to A1 and then to A2, and if A2 is unavailable, then A1 wants to reassign the 2nd level approval back to himself, as there are many situations where the user cannot wait for the next level of approval.

I have tried to delegate and reassign, but it is not working out.

If anyone has any idea on how I can reassert the approval to myself if I have already approved the PO and do not want it to flow to the next level.
