Can Managers attach documents to an employee's record without the employee being able to see them?

Summary:

We are looking for managers to be able to upload documents attached to an employee that the employee themselves would not be able to see

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

From the below Customer Connect link, it looks like the only way to do this would be to remove all access to document records from our "Employee" role, then create a document security profile and "Exclude" The document type we want managers to use. This would give the employees access to all document types but the excluded one. Then we would have to create another security Profile and "Include" this document type. From here we would need to assign the abstract roles for these security profiles to our Employee and Line Manager roles respectively.

Howdy, Stranger!
