    • OSMH Custom Software Source Creation Fails with no Error on Console “Invalid parameter packages"

    Symptoms

    Creation of OSMH custom software source (CSS) or versioned custom software source(VCSS) from vendor software sources(VSS) is successful, but once the CSS is created, it does not show any “Available packages” as shown below.

    The CSS/VCSS has used Package list(rpm -qa output) as a input while creating it.

    Cause

    By looking at the Network tab from the browser developer tools, it clearly shows that the “addPackages” call failed with HTTP 400. The request header reports it as “400 Bad request”.

    By navigating to the “Response” tab of the request, it reports the error “InvalidParameter” with detailed message for the failure.
