Removing AR Revenue contingencies

Summary:

We are introducing Revenue contingencies as part of a new project and we need to expire/release them based on events from external systems. I have found several posts that were looking for something similar (ideas upvoted) but only workaround that was suggested was manual:

Unfortunately, and like many others probably, this will not work for us due to high volume of transactions.

My question is, as most threads above are inactive, if anyone found a suitable workaround for this limitation? Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
