Differences between posted journals in the tables GL_JOURNALS and GL_BALANCES.

We have seen some differences between posted journals in the tables GL_JOURNALS and GL_BALANCES.

I thought that the table GL_BALANCES was updated when a journal was posted.

The journals are in adjustment periods and uploaded from a spreadsheet. Why are these two tables different?

The table GL_BALANCES is updated If we wait 60-100 minutes.

Is it a specific job that updates GL_BALANCES?
