Is there any additional configuration required IntercompanyWorkflow - Renew

Currently, it seems the ICapprover can only click Claims, then Actions > Renew before it is expired.

It can not be done after it is expired. In addition, there is no Maximum Renewals field available forselection in Intercompany workflow.
