Business Rules validation rule in Visual Builder not being triggered

Hello, friends

I'm trying to set up a rule validation rule using Visual Builder for the Termination page but the rule won't trigger no matter what.

The main idea was to validate the Termination Notification Date field showed bellow to prevent it being filled with dates prior to sysdate.

I've even tried all the Notification fields bellow with a simple rule like "it's not null" and none of them triggered the rule and just skipped directly to the next section "Work relationship termination info" after filling the dates and clicking on "Continue":

Does anybody have any idea why is the rule not getting triggered?
