Could migrating to Redwood potentially cause data loss in the instance or can impact configurations?

One of our clients is migrating to redwood and they have serious concerns about the configuration changes and potential data loss after the migration. They are expecting to deploy Oracle Guided Learning in their instance. Will there be any configuration changes due to the redwood migration.
