Can an event be triggered for a Requisition and update the shortlist on the requisition?

Summary:

For volume requisitions, is there any way to trigger an event from an open requisition?(You can obviously invite specific candidates from a requisition to an event). Once the event is triggered and candidates within the event shortlisted, the requisition candidate list then updated from the shortlisted candidates = yes. Is this possible.

The alternative is that the shortlisted candidates from the event are then manually updated on the requisition which seems to be an unnecessary double action. Any ideas?
