    • OSMH: Instance Configuration Failed With Error “Invalid Managed Instance archType”

    Symptoms

    OSMH Instance registration failed with error:

    ERROR: failed to update managed instance: Error returned by Service. Http Status Code: 400. Error Code: InvalidParameter. Opc request id: 
Message: Invalid Managed Instance archType AARCH64 does not match Profile archType: X86_64

    Cause

    The Instance Architecture (archType) is different from the Architecture selected in the profile (in this case X86_64).

    Solution

    1) Create a new profile and select the same architecture to match the instance architecture. See: Creating a Profile

    2) Unregister the Instance. See: How To Unregistering an Instance

    3) Then Register the Instance again using the correct profile for the architecture. See:
