How to bulk import transit times from Internal to Ship-to addresses?

Transit times from Internal locations to 'Ship-to address' locations are getting stored as 'External locations'. When we query for search results to 'External locations', we are seeing the results of 'Ship-to address' locations. This is causing issues is bulk loading Ship-to address transit times as the error reads - "You can't select External Location as the Origin Type or Destination Type for new transit times. You must select Supplier Address."
