Can we update coverage end date for mass population?

Summary:

I need to update the Waive Option coverage end date for mass population via batch or other means. We end dated the plan already. Therefore, when I run a life event to end date the coverage, the life event doesn't even recognize the plan. When I click on Override and enter the Coverage End Date, the plan is removed. Can this be accomplished via a batch or script?

When I reference another customer connection question, "Can we update coverage end date and Override through date fields via HDL (Participant Enrollment)", it states I can disenroll and enroll via HDL. However, I only want to end the Wavie Option coverage. We aren't using the plan anymore and when a user enrolls they don't have the option to deselect the coverage because we end dated the plan but when they look at their current benefits, they see the enrolled Waive Option.
