varper returning incorrect results

We are receiving incorrect results when using varper in a column formula in reports.

Formula is varper([B],[A]) and retrieved amounts are as per below:


Our expected result is (20,607,541/322,959,021)*100=6.38% but the formula is returning (9,362%).

Any idea what would be causing this behavior?
