Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

We have a situation where extra YTD columns appear when the period selected in the POV is Oct. (Long story why this happens but suffice it to say there was a setup issue and we can't easily fix this.) I want all of these YTD columns to be suppressed when Oct is the period. I have conditional formatting formula that is putting "Oct" into cell A1 when the period in the POV is Oct. That works fine.

However, the suppression formula (shown below) doesn't work. I want three columns to be suppressed when the value in A1 is Oct. Nothing happens.
