Do we need to schdule the collection job set for order management module, for Subscription items?

Do we need to schedule the collection job set for order management module, for Subscription items?

Our project have only Subscription based items & there's only one standard integration with SM. We don't have Inventory/Planning/ Costing/shipping modules involved in order management process. So Do we really need to schedule the ESS job of collect data planning.

We need to understand the impact of running this collection job if any??
