How to limit account visibility for some users

We are looking for ways to limit access to accounts for the OOTB roles Sales Representative and Sales Manager.

We've configured our internal hierarchy with some levels that basically uses the OOTB roles: Sales Representative, Sales Manager and Sales VP.

When we migrate out accounts, the Sales Representative is put as owner of the account.

We need to limit the visibility of those accounts for the Sales Representative and Sales Manager. Eg. The Sales Representative can only see the accounts where it is the owner. And the Sales Manager can only see accounts where his team is the owner of the accounts.
