Can we have checkbox as user defined column?

Hi All,

We have a need to create a user defined column with list of values Yes/No.

I am planning to utilize List Column for this purpose but I have following two questions?

  1. Can we have a checkbox rather than LOV, so if it is checked it will be considered Yes, otherwise No.
  2. Currently List Columns have data type as Number, is it still okay to utilize them as character for Yes/No values?
