My customer has developed a home-grown promising engine which they intend to use for order promising instead of Oracle Global Order Promising (GOP). I have a few questions regarding the item substitution functionality in Oracle Fusion without using GOP:

  1. Item Substitution Feasibility: Can item substitution work without GOP in Oracle Fusion?
  2. Setup Requirements: If item substitution can work without GOP, what are the necessary setups in Oracle Fusion apart from the Item Relationship setup to ensure item substitution functions correctly?
  3. Documentation: Are there any documents or links available that detail the process of achieving item substitution without GOP?
