Difference between closing balance and opening balance

in General Ledger & Intercompany 2 comments

Open GL Period program(for next period) and single ledger posting job(to post current period journals) ran at the same and the difference appear in ending balance of current period and opening balance of next period.

Is this due to Business process gap on the period close process activity or is this a bug in oracle?
