FLSA Premium Parent Element Entry

in Payroll and Global Payroll Interface (GPI)

We are using Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll for US.

I am seeing a weird issue (or maybe I am not aware of this feature). I am trying to create an element entry for an element of secondary classification as “Premium” (the name of the element is “Overtime Premium”).

Whenever, I create an element entry with this element, another entry automatically gets created with the same element but the with the Source as “FLSA Premium Parent Element Entry”. This automatically created entry is not editable and neither can’t be deleted. Surprisingly, both the entries are getting paid also, but with a different rate.
