How the IB assets with different qty created from Order Management are getting grouped?

Summary:

We are creating an order which in turn creates assets. So we are creating Order lines for an Item by providing quantity > 1. The Assets are getting created on items of these Order lines. However, we observe that for some order lines a single asset entry is getting created and the line qty is getting updated in Quantity field. For other order lines, multiple entries of Assets are created with Quantity as 1. We want to understand how this asset quantity grouping is done. Let us know what settings needs to be updated Item Master, Install Base, Order Management.
