How to create a line on an approved PO via API

Hello,

I have created a PO via Rest API and have performed a submit action on it bypassing approval. The PO is OPEN and approved.

If I try to create a line on this PO, the PO Line creation API doesn’t allow this action to be performed on an approved PO.
Should I perform a change order action to achieve this?

Can someone provide me with a sample payload ? Oracle doco has samples for change orders to perform update and cancel operations but not for creating new lines.
